David Starr on
Lowe’s Motor Speedway: “Racing at Charlotte is so special
because it is home for just about all of the teams. The guys on the team get to sleep in
their own beds at night and be around their families and still get their job
done at the track and that doesn’t happen often in this sport. Also the guys that work in the shop
and don’t travel on the road are given the chance to come out to the track and
be a part of the action – it is really special.
“The track in Charlotte is the mecca of our business and has
a tremendous amount of history associated with it. I have had some good success there early
in my career but not what I would have liked the last few years. I think some of that is the harder tire
we run now and this ever evolving coil binding set-up. I feel really good right now about where
all of us on Red Horse Racing are now with all of that as we have learned a
tremendous amount on what we need to do on these 1.5-mile tracks with these
set-ups. I think our performance in
Kansas shows our progress and we will be
testing in Darlington on Tuesday before we head
to the track at Lowe’s. This week
should be another step in the right direction and I look for a strong run for
myself and our No. 11 Toyota Tundra.”

level in the Southeast United States. David spoke about his season so far and
re-uniting with the Red Horse Racing team and discussed elements of teamwork
that relates to racing as well as the selling of the Tundra at the dealership
level.
Lowe’s Truck
Seeing Track for First Time This Year:
Red Horse Racing and David Starr
will be bringing chassis TRD 93 with them this week to compete at Lowe’s Motor
Speedway. The truck last saw the
track last year at Martinsville and has since been given a new
updated body.
“This is the
first time we have run this truck this season,” stated crew chief Jamie
Jones. “We really have only raced
it less than a handful of times and with the new updated body this is really
like a brand new truck for us. The
guys on the Red Horse Racing crew have worked hard on it and I think it will
show when we unload and hit the track on Friday.”
