Timothy Peters Excited to Get Back To Short Track Racing in Iowa

• Peters Making First Trip To Iowa...The Lucas Oil 200 will mark the first race at Iowa Speedway for both the Camping World Truck Series and Timothy Peters. Peters has never even been to the state but is looking forward to the new experience. He has been strong on the short tracks this season so the 7/8 mile Newton, Iowa track should come naturally to him. In the four races on tracks smaller than one mile this season, Peters has earned two top-10 finishes at Memphis Motorsports Park and Bristol Motor Speedway.

• Four In A Row...Peters and his #17 Strutmasters.com team have been turning heads since joining Red Horse Racing. In just eight races, they have earned six top-10 finishes, including three top-10 finishes in a row. Last weekend at Chicagoland Speedway, Peters battled a loose handling race truck but was able to bring home a ninth place finish and keep the top-10 streak alive. The team is still chasing that first trip to Victory Lane but feel confident it's not too far away.

• Fresh Face Adds Youth To the #17 Team...Matt Holzbaur made the move to NASCAR only a year and a half ago but has already developed a passion for the sport. Working as a Manager of a tire and service center in his home town of New Egypt, New Jersey, Holzbaur was looking for a change. He picked up and moved to NC seeking employment in NASCAR. Holzbaur found a job at PIT maintaining the pit school cars and when there was an opening at Red Horse Racing, he quickly filled it. Having pitted ARCA/REMAX cars in the past, Holzbaur filled the vacant tire carrier position and learned his way around the shop. In the past few months he has developed into an important member of the #17 team, serving as a mechanic on the road crew and turning out fast pit stops each and every week.

Timothy Peters on racing at Iowa Speedway "This will be a brand new experience for me. I have never even been to Iowa let alone the race track but I am really looking forward to it. This is another short track and I really love short track racing. I watched the Nationwide race a few months ago so I would have a feel for the track and how it drives. I'm glad we are getting so much practice time. By the end of that we should have it figured out and have a truck that will bring home another top-10 finish."

Crew Chief Chad Kendrick on Iowa Speedway "I was at the first race ever at Iowa Speedway a few years ago. I was serving as the Jackman for an ARCA/REMAX team. I heard the track is a lot rougher than it was back then. I have looked over the notes that Toyota gave us from the Nationwide race so I have a good feel for what we are going to need. I'm looking forward to the extra practice time so we can really get our truck driving well before the race."

Equipment Information Timothy Peters will compete with chassis # 103 in the Lucas Oil 200 at Iowa Speedway. This is the same chassis Johnny Benson raced at Dover International Speedway where he started seventh and finished 20th.
