  • Peters' Second Trip To Pocono...Most of the Camping World Truck Series drivers will be making their first trip to Pocono Raceway, but not Timothy Peters. In 2006, he participated in a test session at the 2.5-mile triangular track for Bobby Hamilton Racing. Peters hopes that the laps he has already turned there will help him gain a leg up on the competition on Saturday.

  • Back In The Groove...Peters and the #17 Red Horse Racing team have suffered some bad luck a few times this season but appear to have put that behind them by earning two back-to-back top-10 finishes. Peters brought home a sixth place finish two weeks ago at Gateway and captured a 10th place finish last weekend at O'Reilly Raceway Park. In 12 events so far this year, Peters has earned nine top-10 finishes.

  • Tight Points Battle...Peters is currently tied for the fourth position in the Camping World Truck Series driver point standings with reigning champion Ron Hornaday. Only 110 points separate the second spot from the eighth position so a lot can be gained and lost each and every race. Peters is 35 points out of the second spot and 212 points from the lead.

  • Looking Ahead To Darlington...Peters took some time out this week to head south and help Darlington Raceway promote the upcoming Truck Series race on August 14th. Peters stopped at Fort Jackson, in Columbia, to meet and greet with soldiers and assist with ticket sales. He then headed to Myrtle Beach for a kids carnival and interviews with local media. Peters finished up his trip at McLeod Children's Hospital in Florence where he signed autographs for the patients.

  • Wiss On The Hood...Wiss® will adorn the hood for the Pocono Mountains 125. Wiss® cutting products have been earning a reputation for craftsmanship and long life since 1848. Go to any race garage or pit toolbox and chances are you'll find several pairs of Wiss Metalmaster® compound action snips; they've been the preferred brand with sheet metal pros for over 50 years. The wide Wiss product line now includes snips, scissors, industrial shears, utility knives, and HVAC tools, all with famous Wiss quality built in. GearWrench will be displayed on the rear quarter panels.

Timothy Peters on racing at Pocono Raceway "I'm really looking forward to our first race at Pocono. I feel like my test there in 2006 will really help me acclimate to the track faster than some of the other guys. Having that extra track time will really help us prepare the truck for the race. It's going to be critical to have it turning well in the center of the corners. One thing is for sure, the fans won't be disappointed. It's going to be a great race."

Jeff Hensley on racing at Pocono Raceway "This is the first time the trucks have come to Pocono so we aren't really sure what to expect. Most of the drivers haven't been to this track in a while, or ever, so it should be a great equalizer for everyone. We are looking for another good finish for the #17 team. We've put together a string of top-10's and we want to keep that going through this nine week stretch."

Equipment Information Timothy Peters will compete with chassis #103 in the Pocono Mountains 125 at Pocono Raceway. This is the same chassis Peters piloted at Gateway where he started seventh and finished sixth.
